100 X France, History of French photography
100 X France is a rectrospective exhibition about France's photography heritage since its' creation. This exhibition presents the evolution of photography though the works of famous photographers as well as unknown ones.
102 modern prints have been made in collaboration with important French institutions such as la Bibliothèque Nationale de France, le musée d’Orsay and le Centre Georges Pompidou.
With curator Sophie Schmit, the purpose of this exhibition is to talk about the history of French photography under different aspects : the evolution of techniques and methods, the themes that distinguish "artistic", "humanist" or "journalistic" photography and the tight connection between photgraphy and other fields.
